I love this polka-dot top from j. crew. Although it's dotty, the pattern and cut keep it from feeling too Minnie Mouse for me, and it's really easy to throw on. Worn with Joe's Jeans dark wash bootcuts and Harley boots, which are proving to be real workhorses. Also this F21 necklace for that true j. crew touch of quirk. This seemed to work well for volunteering at school then to the office.

The second outfit is from yesterday and I'm not sure it worked. But I tried. Leith pants with that blazer everyone has and DV booties.

I think you have your photos reversed, but it doesn't matter because I love 'em both!

I really like the pants/blazer/animal print/booties ensemble in #1. Very professional yet still very "Una."

And the polka dots? With the jeans? And that fab necklace?

UWP has a whimsical side! Love the dots and minty necklace quite a bit. Perfect with the polished bootcuts. I think the blazer works well with the slouchy pants, too.

How is the mojo feeling? It is looking great!

Thanks Rae! I'm not feeling particularly creative but it's nice to put together an outfit like the bootcuts and feel presentable. It's enough to get by.

The necklace is more turquoise than mint, but it's definitely a different look for me! Not UWP except for the boots, but like I said, I'm happy just to be put together right now!

Where do I start? This is some of the best stuff I've seen from you!! Love them both, they are a little dressier than usual for you and I love that direction because it's a cool dressy not a conservative dressy.

I need to pin this! You really make the polka dots yours, and the entire outfit is amazing. All the elements are familiar, but you make the combination really new and fresh. Wonderful! I also really like the other outfit with the blazer. Very polished and very you. These outfits ooze coolness & fabness all the way to Norway.

What you call second outfit is probably the one in photo #1. How about trying it with shorter top? I think it has a lot of potential. Unstructured structure etc...

You had me LOL at "Minnie Mouse". Too funny. I love that top on you and the necklace is a fun touch. And I bet the little girls at school noticed you, I like quirky (but robust) jewellry around children.

I really like the combination of Leith pants with the grey blazer, Una. Supercool and modern.

Both outfits rate a 10 as far as I'm concerned. The curved line of the blazer and the Leith pants is fab and I love the ombe effect of the dots as they go up from the bottom in the J Crew top, then topped off with the necklace. I still see UWP touches but as CC said its a cool dressy direction. Still very much you though. Love it!

I really like the polka dots and bootcuts. I think that looks superb.

the Leith outfit I am not as sold on but I think I would need to see it in person. The jacket looks stiff and then the very fluid pants. I do like the shape of the outfit.

You absolutely have a supercool factor to all of your outfits--definitely your signature style, and you wear it very very well. It's funny, because I have that same Crew top, and it has a totally different vibe. Love your style.

Thank you, everyone! The polka dot top has been a great addition to my wardrobe. And Ornella, three llittle girls told me my necklace was pretty!

MaryK, I got a size 4. I tried this on at j. crew in CA with you guys, but didn't get it at full price. When it went on sale I couldn't resist. It came in other colors too, maybe red? It's not oversized on me. You wear more fitted tops than I do but due to bustline I'd stick with 4; j crew runs narrow in the chest.

I love this on you! I wouldn't have ever thought Minnie Mouse, but once you said it, it made me chuckle. I also like the way the pattern of the dots really takes away any IT tendencies.

How fun is that necklace! I can see why you are getting so many compliments

Una, I love that polka dot outfit. It's a different look for you, but perfect for the school and office. Isn't fun when little girls come up to you and tell you that they like something you are wearing. How can you not like an outfit that gets that kind of appreciation!

These showy necklaces are starting to appear in Australia, and they really seem to add something extra to an outfit!
I am not usually one for wearing much jewellery , but your pics might sway me to try this look.

Love the polka dots. I saw his on pinterest and said:"wow". Just a grat mix of classic silhouette and print and statement necklace. Hard to judge the blazer outfit next to such a huge winner - I would have liked some colour in there. Maybe the necklace again?

Una, this looks fab. I'm not usually a fan of polka dots, but the ombre pattern of this top plus the cool green necklace definitely keeps it from looking too Minnie Mouse (as you said!).

It's good to have some go-to easy outfits in your back pocket...especially as a busy mom.

Una, the polka dot outfit is just beautiful. I'm not sure I have the words to explain why but it is a stellar outfit. The silhouette is incredibly attractive and fit of everything is perfect here. I want to copy this:). Your other outfit is gorgeous too, classic Una:).
