Here is the third outfit in the bootcut jeans series. I have tried some somewhat unusual layering with a crossover sweater layered over a button down and tucked into jeans. Not sure how it works, but it was an interesting experiment.
The pieces here are super old: the purple cashmere sweater is from fall 2008, when it was *the* YLF sweater, the same way the chunky cream Gap and striped BR ones are these days. The shirt is from around that time too. And the jeans, the super ubiquitous in those times, 7 for all Mankind's bootcuts in Dark New York wash are ~9 years old! I have read a while ago on some blogs that these jeans are the ones that started the whole premium denm craze and are thus referred to as "granddaddy of premium denim".
To counteract all those oldies, these are new purple suede booties I am wearing for the first time. I have actually had them for almost a year but for some reason never wore them. They have a bit of 80's styling with almond toes and the bow - I need to figure out how to wear them with skinnies.
