Even though that works great, I think the dress looks good with black, too. Not intending you should go buy a specific jacket, but a black moto (maybe fabric) or denim, with sleeves turned up, would look good too. I think it is not just the color, but juxtaposing the sporty, carefree style of topper with the svelte dress that looks good.
Thanks Everyone....seems like this dress gets a LOT OF LOVE on YLF! I think the denim vest and black cardi got equal points. So I'll keep the cardi for dressy occasions and wear the vest otherwise.
Unfrumped, I do have a black moto and lots of other kinds of jackets, but I can't wear one over the dress in summers.....our summers are very warm and humid. If I do end up wearing this dress with boots once the weather cools, will definitely wear the moto on top!
I like how the black shrug makes the black in your dress pop aand make a vertical line. Would be great with black sandals. A black/dark moto would change the vibe, but you'd still get the same effect with the vertical line.
