My mum found this dress from value village And I just fell in love with it. It's not the stuff I'm usually drawn to but the colors and the modern floral call to my Artist persona. It is lightweight, packable, breezy, sufficiently covered, distinctive and can be dressed up or down. And it feels uniquely me, somehow. (Maybe it's yet another Shevia influence!)

Paired with a Canadian made leather belt - also thrifted - to give me some shape. And an ancient Aqua necklace from BCBG. I was in a 'go big or go home' mood.

I have become enamoured with sharp, streamlined, luxe looking Oxfords lately. They seem to be the perfect shoes for my style and life and my current love of menswear. I loved the ones from the Office of Angela Scott that Viva mentioned but the price and shipping are prohibitive to Canada. So I found these Italian made Oxfords from Canadian brands Ron White - beautifully made, exactly my style, and end of season sale, natch. I bought them in tobacco and slate. I have a pair of Burberry black brogues, silver Oxfords by a brand called Pertini from Winners (the just comfortable ever - oh how I wish I had duplicated!) And a blush pair from Ecco. They are my version of a dressy sneaker and feel right for my style and life.

What do you think? I know this look is not for everyone and maybe not as flattering as some, but I adored going for something a little different today
