WIW: Blush Out - YouLookFab Forum

Lately I've been really loving monochromatic looks, which is a new thing for me. So when I picked up these blush pants on sale, it just felt right to pair them with this blush blazer and blush silk tee. Even though they are from different stores, different seasons and made from different fabrics, they turned out to be a perfect match - fashion serendipity !

I'm not much for pastels (ever since a disastrous junior high run in with them,) but thanks to Angie, I'm loving blush. The black studs on the Silk tee keep it from feeling too precious, and I live the satin side panels in the blazer for the texture contrast and the refined quality they bring.

What do you think? Refined and stylish or Golden Girl? (Truly...would love to hear your honest opinion)

Serendipitous indeed. Welcome to Team Blush. A great look. SO FUN to see a dressy light suit in the middle of Winter. YAY.

Personally, I'd prefer to see those pants paired with booties - perhaps black - because I have a very complicated relationship with cropped pants. xo

Hey Angie,
I too have a complicated relationship with cropped pants and this was the first time I bought some that weren't slimmed at the calf. I wondered about footwear. Given my petite and curvy shape, I thought heels were most elongating, but I couldn't find my nude ones. You think black booties would have been better? they wouldn't have cut the leg line and made me look stumpy?

To my eye, heeled booties elongate the length of cropped pants by filling in the gap. Low vamped shoes - like pumps - accentuate the shortness because they expose the gap.

(Told you - it's complicated).

Looks gorgeous on you! I didn't even notice the shoes, to tell you the truth--I was so focused on the blush pieces and how nicely the black on the top echoes the black button on the jacket. It's such a subtle color--it comes off very creamy on my screen.

Thanks everyone for the sweet comments - sorry i haven't been online much to respond. Angie - I'm not sold on the booties with these pants, but I might try them next time (cropped pants are such a headscratcher!) Also, I think I'll pair them with Tomato red next time - another YLF new-to-me pairing that i have come to love!
