WIW: Blue snake

Equipment sweater, Express pants, Harley boots.

These are the pants I'm thinking of wearing with the Theory blazer to the interview. They are the same shade of black and weight. Will post a complete picture of that tonight.

These are my sleekest boots. Obviously they need to be polished! You can only see the very tip of the toe with PPL. Can I avoid buying a new pair of booties this way, since I really don't have time to shop? Or do I have to splash out at the crazy-expensive boutique?

Hm. Do people up there tend to wear sleek refined shoes? They look a little chunky, but a good polish would combat that a little.

I think you could get away with polish, and consider if edge dressing makes sense to freshen up the edges of the sole/heel? (Not sure here...) It will wear off so you wount have a shiny sole on your boot forever. If you sit and cross you legs what is the hardware showing situation with these boots? Would it feel too oddly rugged with a suit look? Or is a rugged shoe mixed in an Alaskan standard acceptable?

I would love to see a bit more PPL but given the circumstance lets not get too worked up

Polish the boots, look super fantastic up top. If you don't have time to shop, you don't have time to shop. Would super refined footwear get any use in your closet or would you be throwing away a lot of money? I think the shoes will be just fine because you will shine

Jacket plus pants should be great. I'm not convinced by the shoes because of the weight of the soles plus the heaviness overall.

I assume that like everyone in Alaska, you have an Amazon Prime membership, right?

They are pretty boring. I know. However, the rounded squared toe reads both as very conservative and a little tomboyish, and the heel is low and solid. You could probably run in these. They come in small sizes too (since I know you have tiny little feet). I think they are cut low enough to fit a wide foot.

If the pants are long enough, the shoe is going to look OK with the polish, me thinks. I have the same blue snake print from Equipment. Mine is a blouse. You look great.

For the interview I think the shoes are fine & also the length of pant with shoe. I prefer longer for PPL but they wont judge that at the interview. Just give the shoes a good polish. These days I prefer more refined pointier shoes with this pant but again you are not being judged on fashion there at the interview, just appropriateness. I'm guessing refined footwear isn't big in Alaska due to impracticality.

Re: PPL, I hiked up the pant leg to show a little more of the boot - they actually almost drag the ground if I don't belt them. I will take a full outfit pic with blazer and boots tonight!

kcs, those are great! I am putting these all on my list in case I get the job. I just don't think I have time before Tuesday to get stuff shipped and see if it fits!

I think the boots will work for an interview. I think you mentioned in a past post that boots are acceptable due to the Alaska weather at interviews? I think some polish will spiff them up and with the long pant length, they won't be noticeable anyway.

Can you borrow a pair of shoes from a friend?
The blazer and pants ought to be the perfect alternative to buying a suit.
That sweater is awesome.

Great outfit today! I don't think you need to buy new shoes, it's not like they will be front and center at your interview, and I think it would be a shame to go spend hundreds on some shoes just for an interview. I think those will be fine, and when you have the time, you can go get work shoes that you love.

Gosh I love that Equipment sweater on you - that cobalt colour just pops with your gorgeous complexion. It looks great with the trousers.

I'm feeling kind of like Raisin - I'm not sure you need to buy footwear for an interview, unless you'd be buying them anyway. Give these a polish up and they will work for the interview. Nobody is going to be staring at your feet anyway under a pair of trousers. If you were wearing a skirt, that would be a different thing.

I think those pants are going to be perfect with your jacket. What top will you wear? I would think that the boots should be OK, especially in snowy Alaska! But you do need to have some pumps in your wardrobe for future!

I think if you polish the shoes you should be fine - but what do I know? I love that sweater, but that is not the point right?

Gosh, I love that sweater. Maybe one day one will find me on Ebay... or knocked off at F21.

I think that, since so little shoe shows, a nice shiny polish would probably be fine. Your climate would seem to warrant a sturdy shoe at this time of the year IMO.
