I've been waiting for it to be warm enough to wear this floaty light blouse that I thrifted about two months ago. I love the varying sizes of the stripes and the colours of blue, green, white and black. It's also got an exposed zipper on the back, which I find a wee bit funky. I've the paired the top with a turquoise pencil midi skirt. I've been in love with MaryK's turquoise skirt since the first time I saw it and squealed with delight when I spied this one at my local Value Village. I've added elements of green with my pumps and handbag, and my silver chrome bangle white for a bit of brightness. (sorry 'bout the lack of lipstick here...early at home and hadn't put it on yet!)
What are your thoughts on this combination? Proportions and colours work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.
Blouse: Cynthia Rowley (thrifted)
Skirt: Anne Klein (thrifted)
Shoes: Poetic Licence
Handbag: Cleo (thrifted)
Watch: thrifted
Update: I've added a second pose as a few have mentioned the skirt and/or blouse look too large on me. The skirt could not be any smaller or I would not be able to sit! And the blouse is a deliberately waist-surrendering non-shape floaty kind of style. I don't want to sound defensive or anything, but I'm a bit confused as to why this seems too big on me. I've worn my ON striped oversized shirt which is much looser and there have been no comments regarding the size on that shirt. Is it just because I normally wear more fitted items?
