Inspired by today's blog post, I wore blue, brown, and white together.

My outfit:

Brown cotton poplin pleated Bermuda shorts (Mango); navy, light blue, tan, and cream faux-wrap sleeveless knit top (Nic & Zoe); white sneakers with navy laces (Nike); white canvas jacket (Banana Republic); off-white crossbody bag (Minor History); watch with white leather band (Tissot).

So great--I think you showed those shorts before. I really do like them--I think all the volume, plus the unexpected color. And then pairing with athletic sneakers I find unexpected and new--I would be thinking to pair them with loafers, or something.

I think also something about this combination, and it goes for Angie's post, too...in a lot of "white" combinations, you notice the white first, but here I really notice the other two colors first. I think brown and blue is such a strong pairing.

Love not only the color scheme but the maximmum attention to details-as we already expect from you Sharan! The asymmetric cut and the pattern of the blue top, the dark(navy/black)ack accents of the outfit (the ties and the toes of the sneakers, the buttons on the white jacket) are just subtle things that elevate all the look to another level of corelation and fabness! I laso love the structured cross body bag!

merwoman, lyn67, and Jaime, the first thing I did with those sneakers was change out the laces, and I'm surprised at how many outfits I find that they just seem to complete. (I bought other laces, too, but so far haven't gotten beyond the navy ones.) I also changed the buttons on the jacket when I first got it, because I didn't like the yellowish white ones that it came with; I chose antique brass, to go with the zipper pulls on the pockets. They seem to make this white jacket a natural pairing with brown now.

Such a gorgeous outfit on you. I have always loved that top of yours- it is in my Finds. I only use Finds for inspiration as I am too lazy to make custom Finds! Since I don’t live in the right area to Collect them.

About this top: I wasn't wearing it and realized it was an awkward length for me (and an untuckable style). So I painstakingly shortened it! I thought I wrote about it here on the forum, but maybe not; I can't find the post.
