WIW blue and white

Today’s outfit is solely blue and white. Though I said yesterday I am definitely on team black and white all seasons. Eating my words
Dark blue silk dress, white scarf, pearl earrings, and a gold pearl brooch. I am also wearing white trousers and bag, not shown in pics.

You look amazing. Summer must agree with you. You have never looked better. There is an element to these recent ensembles that is different from when we did our 30 x 30. I wonder if the fabrics are lighter weight and that is the difference I am seeing. A lightness of being?

My tiny suggestion would be to try the brooch higher up and closer to your neck. I think it might be nice if it looks like an a little wisp extending out from your scarf. Of course, that assumes that it won’t pull the dress into some awkward position such that the collar flops around or other garment annoyance occurs.

Sterling, thank you, you are so kind. You are right, my summer outfits have a different vibe than what I wear in cooler seasons - more relaxed and “lighter”. I think it is so for many people. Ironically, summer is not my favourite fashion season, I much prefer autumn and winter fashion and I have a larger and better autumn/winter wardrobe. I love to wear blazers and suits, and I am not fond of dresses (on me). The same goes for open shoes. Hot summers are therefore fashion wise challenging. I think it’s interesting that you like my recent summer outfits. It makes me happy. I think I have developed my style and learnt a lot from Angie and YLF members since I joined in December last year. Maybe, and I hope, that that is what you see, Sterling. Thank you very much for taking your time and being so supportive!

3style, thank you for the suggestion. You are right, the brooch would look better higher up, it takes effort to get brooches in right places in outfits. This dress is very loose and thin - it’s quite difficult to get the brooch to sit properly.
