Full disclosure: I get almost all my clothes at "Clothing Exchange". Local churches have drop boxes for people to drop clothes they no longer want, and periodically hold open-to-the-public times for people to come get anything they choose from what was donated. At these events, they literally beg people to take more and more, so that they have less to dispose of at the end of the day (they donate their leftovers to the city Mission). We go regularly, and while most of what we find is off-season, it keeps our family of seven dressed year round.

This week, at such an event, I came across this white eyelet shirt. I rarely wear white, because I think it makes me look mostly dead. But this one is a really bright white, which somehow seems like a redeeming factor. It reminded me of Angie's white eyelet shirt, so I decided to copycat one of her looks.

Is copycat-ing an Angie look on Angie's forum bad manners? If so, let me know, and I'll remove the post!

To copy her, I paired it with my black wide-leg trousers (not lengthened). It doesn't have belt loops, so I accessorized with a bangle and big earrings. Does it work? Should I keep the shirt? If I do keep it, I'll take in the waist some, so it tucks in nicer, and I don' t have to do the 'Audrey crossover'. I should probably also take the time to put on make-up if I'm going to wear white, but I didn't for these photos.
