Thanks for the kind word everyone! I am enjoying going through my accessories on a bling treasure hunt and finding things I had forgotten about. One benefit is finding important stuff that you thought you lost, like the spare key fob to a car....oopsie!!
Bonnie - I look forward to seeing how you will style your crystal necklace!
Jaime - You must have some great faux fur pieces from all your thrifting adventures, no?
Sisi, Robin F, - Those studded loafers were a unexpected find at Ross years ago. I'm not usually a loafer gal, because I prefer feminine looking shoes, but the studs prettied them up enough for me to make the purchase.
Lyn67 - That fur scarf has a hole for one end to go through the other, but I find that it tends to slip loose, so that is how the idea came to me to try the brooch.
Olive Green - I always check out the store when I'm in Cracker Barrel. I've bought a couple of items there that ended up not working for me, but for the most part, I've had more hits than misses.
Carol - Oh, I bet you would look great in a golden shimmer headband. More subtle but still a bit of sparkle!
Star - December is the best month for bling!
Kellygirl - Yes, that is another benefit of my bling challenge...I get to spruce up the existing wardrobe and not feel the need to want to buy new holiday wear!
Pirouette - It is awesome that there is so much information and products now adays for curly hair. I wish this was available when I was an awkward teen with frizzy hair.
Angie - Thanks for stopping by! The outfit you liked is the one I felt unsure about because the dress seemed a smidge matronly, thus my need to bling from head to toe! LOL! I wore it to a luncheon and there was a little girl sitting at my table who admired my headband and pin and when I asked her if she saw my shoes, she looked under the table and then gave me the biggest eyes and surprised expression! That made my day!
Ket - Yes, the zipper detail on the pants was the detail that sealed the purchase decision. Normally I wear the zips slightly open so that the ends fall a bit on each side of my foot but I have a weird tan line from a sandal I wore so I kept the zips shut this time.
For the longest time I had an inspiration pin of a necklace (see photo) that I wanted to emulate somehow so when I saw the one at Macy's, I knew it was the closest thing I could find. I grabbed it immediately and bonus that it was half off!
