This probably qualifies as a rather subtle or subdued outfit for me (which just goes to show you that "subtle" is contextually subjective, imho).
A basic black and white casual outfit bookended by a bright dose of color.
This was one of those outfits that didn't involve much thinking about when throwing together, which was perfect because I was running late after hitting the gym. The addition of of the leopard bag was much more of a "damn, I'm running late" hurried add-on than it was an intentional choice designed to be thoughtfully coordinated. I found I liked how it paired with the stripes and coral, though. Especially the next day when looking at the photos.
Interestingly enough, this outfit is also largely composed of extreme bargains obtained over time. While I haven't analyzed what the full retail cost to put this outfit together would be exactly (based on what regular retail price of each item would be) I think it falls around the $2500 range (the Iro leather jacket actually retails for around $1400 and the AG stilt jeans for around $175 alone. My cost all in was around $300 for the entire outfit head to toe (including bag, sunglasses and jewelry) and most of that cost comes from the leather jacket.
Red/Orange/Coral leather moto jacket: Iro Asheville (for a steal via ebay)
Black and White striped tee: Stylemint (NWT for $1 at the thrift store. Woot!)
White jeans: AG Stilt cigarette leg (I still need to have them shortened but they cost a whopping $13 NWT via ebay and met my criteria for white clothing --it must be inexpensive because its life is short -- because I always end up spilling something on it!)
Red/orange/Coral suede ankle boots: Dolce Vita (via ebay)
Leather and calf hair leopard bag: Zara (via ebay)
Branch coral necklace: antique c.1910 edwardian era (part of an estate buyout years ago)
Carnelian, gold and silver spinner ring: gift from BF
Kinetic silver circles earrings: via a little shop in SF years ago
Sunnies: cheapie no name brand (via Wasteland for $3)
