WIW black, white, blue fail and redo

I tried the BWB formula and it was a miserable fail. White winter tops are a wardrobe hole for me since I had to purge the cream sweater.
Outfit 1. 0happy factor.

I think #2 works just fine!
It's BWB too - just that the to pis BW, and the bottoms blue?

I love the belt in #1!

If you want to try again with #1, I am guessing that a longer more structured topper would work better, to balance the curviness of your bottom half and the sweetness of the patterned blouse. What think those of you who know what you're doing?

It's the fit and proportions in #1 that are causing the unhappy-factor. The colours work well together though.

The proportions are better in #2, which accounts for the increased happiness! Personally, I'd like to see a looser and longer top with the blue jeans. That will also add a more modern injection to the outfit. Great boots

Amiable, I liked #2, 1 was the fail. I'm taking a lot of pictures of my outfits since someone mentioned that you get a better idea from pictures than looking in the mirror. #1 didn't make it out of the house.
Angie- it was definately the proportions that I didn't like. I'm having a lot of trouble finding cold weather tops. Cant wait til spring.
