WIW: black & gray

I'm wearing these Kenneth Cole oxfords (Angie pick) which I love but I'm having a hard time adjusting to the "clown look" of oxfords with straight pants. I figure I'll just have to keep wearing them until my eye adjusts! Wearing with GAP skinnies, BR sweater and "bow" scarf. Suggestions always welcome.

I too have trouble with oxfords and straight pants! I think they look great when the pants are rolled up like this, but when left down I just can't get on board with the look for myself. I don't think it's a foot length issue (I'm at peace with my long feet) but I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what it is. Anyways! Cute outfit, I quite like the little peek of skin at the ankle.

Aida - I have small feel and they look long to me while wearing these! I have put them on about three different times and then changes shoes. So I figured I may as well just go with it today. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I got a pair of black oxfords earlier this spring, and it took me a while to get used to them, too. (I am short but with long feet). Now that I'm accustomed, I like the way they look. I think we got maladjusted with all thr magazines and stores on the four inch heel kick for so long (I never bought in to the crazy heights but it affected how I look at outfits).

Oxfords can be tricky if you skew strongly feminine, and especially so if that's your footwear preference (like me). It took me a good while to wrap my brain around oxfords on myself for that very reason! I doubt anyone will feel or notice that your feet might possibly look longer than normal
