Met up with some fellow makers for coffee this morning. We've been meeting monthly to share business tips for a couple years now and have become as much friends as colleagues.

This outfit is another one that I suspect is fine, just not fine for me. Eva pointed out in my challenge thread that a lot of my aspirational outfits combine, as she put it, "quirkier neutrals," so this high-contrast black and white combination might just not be me. Also, the ankle pants are Old Navy pixie pants, which seemed really great when I bought them, but a season later, they're already faded, tight in the thighs, saggy in the knees, and droopy at the waist. Not effortless in the least.

I do like my bag. It's very casual, but I love the burlap detail and Tom Bihn bags are crazy well-made.

Personal style aside, I'm interested in hearing your take on proportions here. My eye still hasn't really adjusted to what's flattering in an ankle pant and what works/doesn't on my body.

Wearing: Express ruched drape neck top in black, Old Navy plaid pixie pants, black ballet flats, red Tom Bihn messenger bag with burlap accent
