Coffee spills, ummm, yes. I have a new pair of white jeans that has been hanging in my closet unworn for six weeks - too scared I will stain them beyond redemption on their first wear.
But getting back to the matter at hand, if your plaid pants are indeed faded and stretched out, definitely get rid of them ASAP. You deserve MUCH better than that!! And it doesn't sound as though you love them enough to try to replace them with something similar, either.
In the spirit of learning something from them before they are discarded, you' ve gotten some great feedback:
That style does objectively work for you (pants length, leg width, etc.), but obviously isn't thrilling you at the moment. Didn't you post another pic of a cropped pants outfit that you weren't loving anymore? Maybe that is just a silhouette that isn't "you" at this time in your life?
The shape of that top is terrific on you. But it does feel like too much black with the pants. If you were going to keep those pants, I would be interested to see them with a teal or wine top, or a red that flatters you. Also, I very much like Maneera's suggestion of white with brown accessories - brilliant!
I really like your silver pendant, too, but the necklace seems a little long for that fitted top. Could it be shortened to rest above the neckline of the top - or maybe the pendant is too large for that?
That bag is to die for! Color, texture - love it!
