I had a pair of grey cropped pants on my list for spring and had planned to get a pair of the Express Columnist ankle pants since I am so happy with my Columnist slim bootcuts. Imagine my surprise and dismay when the fit of the ankle pants was very different than the pair I have, and not in the least flattering!
Old Navy has been pushing their "Pixie" ankle pants all spring and at <$20 I thought they might be worth a shot. The grey options were meh, but this sage-y olive-y green pair jumped out at me online. The colour is about as versatile and infinitely more interesting than the grey I was looking for originally, plus at this price I can still keep an eye out for a dressier pair of ankle pants in grey.
For their first outing I am wearing my Old Navy pixie pants with a black and cream printed chiffon blouse from Smart Set, black cardigan from Ricki's, and pointy black flats from Aldo. I accessorized with a slim black belt and a big silver cuff (which is not in the photo since I put it on when I was heading out the door).
