WIW Black and Light Blue plus scarf

Dear Fabbers,

A quick WIW from a business tripp. An ordinary work outfit, wore it on a flight plus a client meeting. Felt comfartable and ok, but not fab.

Apologies for the bad selfies, haven’t got my DH photographer with me

Black peplum jacket, black trousers, blue v-neck silk blouse, blue and black silk scarf, white gold plated pendant, burgundy patent boots and burgundy/red bag.

Katerina- lovely outfit. I like the peplum on the jacket- it gives it that nice touch of detail. But I adore that blue top on you- it is a fantastic color for you. And I love the hemline of it- amps up the look a lot.
As always your skill with a scarf is amazing. The color and styling of the scarf is the icing on the cake with that little pendant being a brilliant candle. Well done.
Oh and you did quite fine as photographer. Best not to let him think he is the only picture taker in the family

Another gorgeous look, Katerina. Not as dramatic because the scarf is small, but professional and very "you" nonetheless. I like the more subtle match of bag and eyewear. Fab for a change.

Rachy, yes, thank you for noticing! It is quite intentional - I like vertical lines, flattering for the midsection.
My own technical name for this would be “hide the apple” style LOL
But maybe there is a real name?

Kathie and Mainelady, I am sorry I missed to answer you question about how I tied this scarf, so here it is:

These are actually two 90x90 cm silk scarves. They are layered on top of each other and then folded diagonally - the classic fold before you tie it. First, you just take the two folded scarves and make a single knot in the middle. Then you wrap the scarves around your neck and tie the two scarves at the back and arrange so the knot would not be visible. Then, adjust the knot in the front of the scarf (the one you made first) to make it broader or narrower according to own taste and preference. I have made a rather wide knot in this outfit to play a bit with pattern. I hope, this is possible to follow....
