Ok, I'm sure most of those won't be business casual for some.

Monday. I'd rate this a 7 on the business to casual continuum & and 9 on the happiness scale- love these ponte pants- and the booties and sweater are a matchy girls dream

Tuesday I'd rate this a 6 on the business to casual continuum. This sweater looks so much better IRL, it has a shimmer that didn't photograph well. Also not sure this was the best footwear.

Wednesday I'd put this a 7 on the business to casual continuum. I was going to wear a pair of Chelsea booties, but felt the heels took it from a 6 to a 7

Thursday a 7. Yes yes it's the dreaded all black, but it was a rainy day and I had an early meeting so I needed a FFBO, that would look good with these shoes

Friday. A 4. It's flannel friday, and I cheated with this silk shirt.

I love matchy-matchy too so I love how the sweater and boots match in #1. How do you feel about the pant length? It looks a bit short for the boots but I'm not sure. I love the boots with #3 - so elegant. I also really like the loafers with the all black in #4. I think the skin showing at your ankles, makes a nice break from the black. Fun top with great colors in #5.

Looks good! I like they match-matchy element of #1 also. I'm enjoying this series of posts. I've never worked anywhere with a dress code and my blood pressure does tend to rise when I see "business casual" on invitations. I'm enjoying seeing the different interpretations.

I find this interesting because I don't hear the expression business casual used here in Australia. We have smart casual or business. So I am still a bit confused about what it means. All your outfits look very smart (my fave is 1) and work appropriate to me. Of course I notice that they are all pants outfits. Is that a personal preference or is that the business norm in the US? Here a lot of women wear skirts and dresses (not that pants aren't popular too). I am not sure whether that is climate related (warm here) or a cultural difference. I often wear pencil skirts to work, but I rarely see them on this forum. It is entirely unremarkable here. Anyway, it's great to get more ideas for work outfits. I look forward to more posts

well i'm glad that the all black outfit pasted...i'm always reluctant to post a WIW with my FFBO of a column of dark color.

@bj111-one of the best things that i learned from YLF is how to mix older stuff with newer stuff to make it look more modern/current...and how to mix high and low. the loafers were an Angie pick from NAS, i would have passed on them had i not seen them in person, find is attached.

@brooklyn-not sure if business casual is a US term, but intersetingly, i'd never really heard the term smart casual until i joined YLF. Re pants, for me its a highly personal thing, i fidget, a lot, so i perfer pants as i dont have to worry about sitting like a lady all day, or the waist shifting around. but i will also say that most of the women that i work with wear pants most of the time. (high summer will find more in dresses, but then usally maxi's or yes, sundresses, and yes, at work)
