Angie's blog post this morning addresses my current puzzler.

#1-2: Worn to a cool and rainy Sunday afternoon baby shower in the park. Black moto boots, faded ankle jeans, olive leopard bag, silver bracelets. Not shown: black leather moto worn to and from.
#3: With dark straight legs, thin black tee, wine boots and bag, gold jewelry.

I'm looking forward to throwing it over long sleeved tees (camel and magenta cashmere; wine and mulberry silk tees). In a quandary about wearing it in cold weather, though.

A wonderful layering piece. Are you worried that it won't add enough warmth for colder months? I love vests and sometimes sneak a wicking long sleeve tshirt untderneath a shirt or sweater to add the warmth, allowing me to wear the vest.

I think this is a fine piece for the type of winter we have in Cascadia Love the sleeveless look, though I want to see a peek of ankle skin to echo the bare arms there. Looks super layered up as in #3.

Both outfits are great, Cerinda. I love the first one with the big bracelet as an accent. I'm imagining your awesome leather jacket over it, too. The second looks stunning, with the tone-on-tone black, and your gorgeous burgundy boots and bag. I like your ideas for pairing it with a silk blouse and other colors of tees, too.

I like the black with the faded jeans and agree with Aida that a glimpse of bare ankle would be a great idea.

Thanks, all. Will try with shorter black slouchy trousers, maybe a taupe leather jacket next time. I actually think I can wear it sleeveless for a lot of our expected mild, wet winter. The sweater puzzles me because 1) it doesn't seem to want much in the way of accessories (no scarf? no necklace? me?) and 2) it's a trifle longer than either of my everyday raincoats. I suspect it will be a workhorse because it fits so well with the tonal and column of color looks I favor.
