Hi all,

When I first saw Angie's post about the black summer dress, I sort of dismissed it as an option for my own wardrobe. I wear very little black in the summer, often feel self-conscious in short frocks, and felt I had enough dresses already. But that was before I found an old tunic in my closet, tried it on, and realized that with my weight loss it fit...like a shorter black dress.
I love the handkerchief hem and the keyhole neckline. And the material is the softest jersey you've ever seen. So I decided to be bold and wear it to work despite my slight phobia that the front/back lacked length that the side handkerchief points couldn't compensate for. My workmates thought I was nuts to be worried about this, but you guys carry more weight.
I kept the outfit very spare and simple. Gold accessories and that's it (Abby sandals, long earrings, rose gold bag). Revie matched the dress for that touch of additional harmony.
Do you think I should wear this item this way, or am I off the mark with the combo?
