Yeah, xtabay it really is living the dream, except that it's 2 1/2 hours away from home and we don't get there often enough.
Suz that is quite interesting about learning to swim in Maine. You have a lot of NE connections, don't you! You certainly did earn your lobster, plus, assuming you were a kid at the time, you earned future points for adult warming beverages. My mom and grandfather swam in Maine a lot, and I did too until some time in my late 20's when I went to Florida for the first time. The warmer waters there ruined me forever for Maine water temps, except on a really hot day.
kkards I totally get you, I never want to live too far away from the ocean. It gets into your blood. I did have to limit my time on the dock because I sunburn pretty badly even with sun block, so I didn't really fall asleep
chewspaghetti love the idea of getting a vaca home to coordinate with a top!
RobinF yes it's such a beautiful spot. I close my eyes and "conjure it up" a lot when I'm not there.
Thanks Angie. I think I remember you showing a pic of water views near you back in April, wearing your olive dress with white accessories! Being near water is just so calming and relaxing, isn't it.
Skylurker yes, bliss is another great word for it.
Barbara Dianne yes, it's so pretty.
Elizabeth P it's Harpswell, which is just south of Brunswick. Harpswell is a really small town, Brunswick is larger and more well known. I'm actually back at home now, this was a rare overnight. We usually stay for a week.
