Casual: the story of my life.
First rendition of outfit was worn while working at home and then going to grocery store
.
Second was worn to pick up my DH at train station and then get a glass of wine at pier - train station is at pier - so didn't involve much walking.
I am in the middle of doing a major purge this month - not just with clothes, but with everything. The two pairs of shoes featured in this outfit were shoes that were in my donate bag - but I couldn't remember for sure why I'd put them there and so I decided to get them out and wear them yesterday for part of the day and see if that would remind me of the reasons for thinking I was going to ditch them. Well, it didn't take long - the white oxfords made a farting sound when I walked - I kid you not! Its as though air gets trapped under the arch of my foot when I lift it, and then squeaks out when I step back down on my foot! EV-ER-Y-TIME! Back in the donate bag!
The 2nd pair (black heeled sandals) have never excited me - they are kind of high - but not uncomfortable and I could probably wear them around 4 hours tops as long as I didn't have to do a lot of walking. I'm not sure if I gave them a fair shot yesterday, because I don't like them with this outfit - they just look quite mundane to me and the heel looks too high for the rest of the outfit - and they don't seem to be interesting enough for my liking.
What do you all think? Should I try them with a different type of outfit before deciding?
Navy blouse with small white polka dots - Old Navy
Denim Shorts - Paige
Belt - GAP
Shoes - can't remember
Thank you for your suggestions - and sorry about the zombie look on my face - I was operating on 4 hours of sleep yesterday and I just couldn't fake it!
