This week's edition of Bay Area Native Wear My contract ended and I decided to take a week of vacation before launching into the search for a new one. So I've been home goofing off and flouncing around in my ethnic costume.
Days go like this: Read books involving nasty but spiffy Faeries or Angels until the wee hours, get up at 7:30 and go get $3 donuts with the dog, make croissants, nap, read, tidy, nap, read, tidy, make croissants. (Sadly, laundry can't find a place on the schedule.)
Pic #1: Steampunkish skirt and scarf for donut walk.
Pic #2: Without scarf.
Pic #3: Back of skirt. Has a bustle of sorts. Or perhaps just makes it look like I have a saggy bottom.
Pic #4: "I think I'm Ali MacGraw in Arizona" outfit for going to eat ackee and saltfish with my mum. They put bell pepper in the ackee and no onions. Cranky mummy wasn't exactly gracious about them not making it the way we do it in our family.
Pic #5: Seriously "Ali in AZ" - even put on turquoise earrings.
Pic #6: Major Hipster "I'd rather be dumpster diving" outfit. Note wonky old-lady shoes. The top is schwag from hipster sew-it-yourself fashion week.
I'm missing one that I should recreate. Involves lace skirt and muscle tee and red Converse. Sweet! Hehe.
