WIW: apple green with dark navy in high summer

Hi all,
Any feedback is appreciated. Here’s what I came up with today. Very comfy and practical.
However my style goals for the year are to create feminine/artsy/boho/gentle looks, but as the days go on I’m realizing I just don’t have the wardrobe to support a boho look, and it’s dawning on me that full on boho just might not be for me. Also, often I like to wear a soft and gentle look, but many days I don’t! Depends on my mood a bit I guess.
So I think at this stage I’ll make my style descriptor “creative and colour rich” instead. Think it’s more authentic.
Any thoughts are appreciated:)
Although, as you can see in pic #3, what I plan to wear tomorrow is more of a gentle look.

I really like your outfit of apple green and navy and its mix of patterns. It may be bolder than you like. You might use the scarf and other pieces with softer colors to form outfits that are softer.

Thanks Joy, yep I agree mixing the patterns was a bold move rather than gentle. Also I think apple green just isn't a gentle colour lol.....

Those colours are really quite lovely together... and as apple greens and navies go, they’re fairly gentle actually. I was imagining something graphic and hard, but the thin stripes and scarf pattern do soften the effect quite a bit (!)

Oh, I really do love the way you mixed your patterns and I think apple green and navy work well together. It may be a bolder combination than you are used to, but it looks great on you. I’m looking forward to seeing your next outfit.

Thanks Manielady, Shevia and Rachylou I’m glad that the pattern mixing works ok and is somewhat in line with my style goals. In fact it’s really the first time I’ve tried pattern mixing... I hardly ever wear stripes either.
I do however love green and blue together- always have.

It is such a beautiful, sweet outfit. The colours are very nice together and I like the way you have mixed the patterns. The scarf is so lovely. You look great in this outfit.

As for the style description, I am not the right person to comment - not good at the fashion terminology. Soft and gentle is a relative term to me - to my eye, your outfit is more soft and gentle than bold. In any case, it is fabulous!

No 3 is lovely too, looking forward to seeing the outfit it on you!

Ooh, I love the apple green bird scarf and your turquoise jewelry! I definitely notice an artistic, feminine vibe in all of your outfits.

I also have a strong boho streak, which I've been trying to reconcile with a more tomboy, sporty, and even slightly rocker vibe. Lately, I've just been trying to wear the things I love, and not worry about it. But I have a strong need to define it, for some reason!

Sorry I don't have any real advice. Just wanted to say I think you have a lovely style, and I look forward to seeing more of it!

If you feel the apple green is too strong with the navy, something like blush pink or dove grey may play better with it instead.

Secondly, if you're looking for a boho look without overhauling your entire wardrobe, might I suggest adding some boho accessories instead? A floppy felt/ straw hat, rope/ canvas espadrilles, stacked silver rings, crochet vest, fringed bag or even a leather bracelet could all add a little bit of a boho vibe without being too much (so long as you don't wear them all at once of course, lol!) It looks like you have long hair too (though I can't quite tell from this photo) - adding a soft, romantic plait/ braid or even a flower in your hair could be a quick fix without spending too much either.

Lastly, loving the turquoise ring! I had a similar one which I unfortunately lost, & have been searching for a replacement since!

Thanks Zaobi, your advice is spot on. I’m still just starting to realize the massive importance of accessories. Also, my hair is very long and I would love to try a loose plait. A fringed bag would be a very useful thing for me. I may add it to my wish list for this year.
Thanks again for your feedback. The turquoise is actually a wrist cuff. It’s a huge stone, a special piece. Love turquoise, it’s just has a happiness factor.

No worries, glad you found my advice useful Yes, I think a loose, fishtail braid draped over one shoulder would look lovely on you!

Oh nice, even better - a turquoise wrist cuff sounds like the perfect boho lite piece!

That scarf is wonderful! I love its colors and print, and the pattern mixing with classic navy stripes is perfect.
You seem to have an awesome scarf collection, the one on photo #3 looks gorgeous as well!
