Thanks, Sterling. It occurs to me I might just go back and buy the second size that would be at all in contention (though I eliminated it at the store) and try them both at home, before making a final decision.
JenniNZ, I'm laughing at your reaction to the subtle flowers. Thanks for your thoughts!

FC, you look totally fabulous. I think the look is very you. (And how I love your top.)

I think I said in your other thread that I found my own floral booties more of a styling challenge than I thought. I have to say, I have been wearing them more this year than last year, so I think there might have been an adjustment issue for me. (I usually favour plain, neutral footwear.) So I am not regretting the purchase. And my DH loves them.

That's good to hear, Brooklyn. I, too, usually favor neutral footwear. So far, I'm finding these shoes a little easier to style than I thought they might be. Today I'm trying them with a knee-length dress and tights, and I like the outfit. (Though I didn't like them with the first dress I tried.)

Neutral footwear! Pfff!

I would love a pair for myself, Sharan!! But at the moment it's too tricky to order footwear abroad because I need to be sure my orthotics will fit. So I shall admire them on you instead;-)

Laugh with Jenni. I feel that way about bags. Because my feet are hard to ftt due to width, I buy generally uninteresting and boring shoes.

I hope one day the Forum will teach me to love shoes as much as I love bags. THEN my shoe collection will be something to brag about, not hide away in the closet.

I see nothing wrong with them (except the price, I don’t understand what make them so expensive).

Ha, Jenni!
Oh, we'll have to work on your shoes, Sterling. Sounds like a YLF challenge. I bet your shoe styles are nothing to hide.
Inge, I'll gladly oblige.
Skylurker, I know. Doesn't make sense. Except that they are European or British, so we pay extra here for them. My much-loved Paul Green brand is about half the price in Europe than it is here.

So the VERDICT, everyone: I'm keeping them, and in the original size. I brought home a second size, and the home comparison confirmed my in-store decision on the sizing.

Thanks for all your input!

Ah, yes, we have the same problem : US brands are ridiculously expensive here (think 300€ for Mother jeans, 100€ for Levi’s, etc)

These look like a fun wildcard addition Firecracker and I think you will enjoy them. Great for Seattle weather too I bet.

I am genuinely glad you are keeping them. When you first started this thread, I liked them enough to consider buying them. But the width stopped me.

Best wishes and Happy Feet to you.
