@Runcarla, I totally missed that transitional mourning clothing aspect of fashion on Downton Abbey, and I’ve watched it twice. I just thought lilac was the trendy color for that particular season. Oops.

#1 outfit is fantastic, exactly what I'm doing this season. The pastels are great for your complexion and hair color.

Ack I love the term "Palewave"! LOVE your version, esp. with the shiny silver accents. These dusty shades here look super on you, I vote wear away! I also enjoy pale shades but in much more saturated/not-so-dusty tones in a palette I tend to think of as "Gelato" -- those same pale colors dialed up in yummy creamy shades you'd find at a gelato stand ^^ Basically as close to mid-tone you can get without actually being mid-tone and still a pastel.

Aida, I’ve been more drawn towards the gelato colors lately too. And I’m also feeling the pull of chocolate brown. Never occurred to me to think of it as a food based palette.
