This is my season of non-cardigan based toppers! I've never been a fan of the denim jacket, but I picked one up earlier this year at Old Navy and it's fast becoming a summer workhorse. I found that it's a lot more versatile now that I'm not wearing jeans all day, everyday. The Gap khakis in outfit 1 have a high enough stretch factor that they're comfortable even with my brace. And the dress in outfit 2 I've had for years. It's a little more feminine than I'd probably currently buy, but I still love the geometric pattern in the summer.
Next, Aida had suggested a dressy pair of sweat/track pants as a comfortable alternative to jeans for awhile. These are probably a little more casual than she meant. They are an olive pair of cotton cargo track/sweatpants, but they're super-soft, drape nicely, and I like the urban/sporty vibe. Outfit 3 was my attempt to dress them up a bit with a sparkly tee (which had a built-in bib necklace that I now realize that you can't see in the pic, sorry!) and moto jacket for dinner with friends.
And outfit 4 is the same pants with my blush Danier biker jacket that finally arrived! I ordered it during the sale a couple of weeks ago. It's a heaver leather than my white one so it see it being used as outwear more than the white one, which I've often been wearing as a topper. I'm happy with it but does anyone see any reasons not to keep?
Comments and suggestions welcome, and thanks for looking!
