I've gone out for meals and theatre events with friends a few times in the last week, which gives me an excuse to be (slightly) dressier than my average day. The outfits below are a pretty good example of the range of my style at this point.

I've realized over the past couple of months that although I like clothes with interesting lines and drape, I am still not a big fan of structure and edgy might not be the word I'm looking for in my style. I'm thinking more about dramatic or artistic as a descriptor lately. I like the idea of urban but I'm not quite there yet. Dramatic casual? What do you think? Suggestions welcome!

Outfit 1: Worn out to lunch with a friend. You all have seen this dress before, but I'm on SYC this month and there are only so many ways to remix a dress, so here it is again! Added the gold sandals to dress it up a bit.
Gap dress, Seychelles sandals from DSW.

Outfit 2: Worn to an evening event with a friend. This is my LBD. I've had it for four or five years and worn it to work events, weddings and more. It's a little snug on the bottom this year (I don't wear shapewear) but I hope it still works.
Loft dress, JCrew belt, Coach shoes from DSW.

Outfit 3: Worn to the theatre and out to dinner with DH. I got these white crops last year and loved them, but they've been too snug this season too far. Paired them with this long EF high-low tank for extra coverage. I would have worn sandals but it was going to rain and I hate open shoes in the rain.
Loft crops, EF tank, Softspots shoes, Zara necklace.

And one more casual outfit:
Outfit 4: Worn over the weekend. This shirt is another frequently worn item this summer. I love how light and breezy it feels.
