WIW and some problematic pants

I'm thinking I *still* can't trust my own judgement. I loved these cropped cargos in the store but I'm not so sure anymore. I've been wearing them with flats--after viewing the picture I thought heels might "save" them. What do you think? Any styling ideas? Thanks for looking : )

Oh - 1 and 2 are SOOO fab! I just love them! I see what you mean about the pants. I do think that the heel is going to save them. Can you humor me and try rolling them up in #4? Just wondering...

Love 1 and 2! Not convinced about the pants. They just don't seem to do your great figure justice. They seem a little baggy.

You're doing a great job styling these outfits; however, I don't like the pants on you. They're too baggy around the crotch area.

Thanks, Sarah, Scarlet and Amy! 1 and 2 are versions of my MOTG uniform--easy to throw together and always feel like me.

I feel like the cargo pants may not get saved. I've tried styling them different ways but I'm thinking they just aren't flattering. at. all. Oh well, I'm posting my attempts for your amusement but I think I will add them to my housework capsule ; ) I'm humoring you with #1, sarah! Thanks for the feedback!

I happen to like those kind of cargo pants, which help balance my shoulders with some width in the lower half. I would wear them very casually - hem rolled up with a t-shirt and sandals.

WOW, it is always so great to see your outfits and your smiling face! I LOVE your MOTG outfits and generally just adore what you are doing with blue, which looks amazing on you! By the way, are those BLUE cowboy boots? Or are they black/charcoal? Either way, I love them.

As for the pants, I think the only real problem is the crotch area which seems a little bit baggy even for an intentionally baggy look. But I love the sandals, too.

I was thinking the same as Una. I like the volume and think they do balance the lower half... if you're bothered by the crotch area, I like it with the longer, untucked shirts as in #2.

Very nice. I really love the dress and boots, and you in wide leg jeans.
The cargo pants look ok to me. I like them the way you have styled them with a blazer and the higher heels.

I like the cargo pants folded up so they end on the mid calf with flats and one small roll with the heels. I prefer the casual toppers with these pants such as #2 in the second set of photos. The blazers all look too formal for the casual pants.

Hm, I see what people mean by the bagginess in the crotch area. But you do make it work with the longer shirts. I'd return them if you feel like you have too work too hard to style them, although you do have some cute looks there! I'd like to see you in less baggy cropped cargos

LOVE 1 and 2! Those pants dont do your beautiful build justice....if you dont need 'around the house 'items I'd pass. You have so many lovely things to choose from...

I like the way you've styled them in the first set of photos with the casual striped top and I think both pairs of shoes look great with them. I'm not as keen on them in the second set of photos with the flowered blouses, because the blouses and the pants are both loose fitting.

I must be in the minority, but I like them in Pic #2 of the second batch, with the flowy loose blouse. It's volume on top of volume, but, to me, it's a slouchy comfortable vibe that I like.

I think the thin material of the blouse moves enough that it's not a bulky look.

I actually quite dig this look, and you carry it off remarkably! You just may not be used to the shape, but really, it's very cool on you.

I like the pants, though I would probably run them through the dryer to see if they would shrink. They look a tiny bit big, but like the others said, they look like they balance you out well.

I do not think these trousers should be relegated to house/lounge/cat wranglin' wear. I like them with the DV sandals and scrunched up with the flats. Also, think about pairing them with a pair of your awesome boots? Have you tucked them into your NMs or MM?Those are both lower shaft boots, right? Might be cool....

Wow you look so cute in all of these looks. If anyone can pull off a short harem-esque cargo pant, it's you! I love you in the high contrast striped top...the soft floral not as much, but you are adorable. Thanks for the inspiration!

Now i haven't read all the comments as I didn't want to be influenced:) I feel I shouldn't like the crop pants... but I do! I think they do look a bit baggy at the crotch but with a slightly longer top you can overcome that. I really like the pants with the black sandals, I think they create an edge to the look. I think the heel does create a longer leg line and I particularly like #1 in the second batch of pictures. These actually remind me of Angie's jodphur jeans... I think these create a slightly similar shape. I think you can make these work:) BTW #1 and #2 in your first lot of pics... to die for!!

They are a little baggy, but I'm kind of loving them despite that, or maybe because of that. You need to love them, though, so it's up to you.

Wanted to tell you that you might want to dust your house, because I see a large spider web on your chalkboard

Thanks, Everyone, for your frank feedback! Reviews are somewhat divided, I see. I’m still kind of on the fence myself. I think I will play with them a bit more since they have already been washed and worn. I can’t believe that I duplicated these in two colors--they are very comfy though : )

It's been a fun exercise. I would have given up and returned them after the first round. Lazy me made an effort ONLY because I already cut the tags!

@Suz: Thanks! The boots are actually emerald--I love the deep green color. Less harsh than black and really goes well with my wardrobe!

@Lisa: Wasn’t sure about the blazers either. My Nic and Moe seems casual enough but the Halogen does look a bit too dressy.

@sarah: Yay! Glad the second batch has hope. The hems are elasticated--I can roll them once but they look kind of weird. I think they look better when I turn the hem under.
@Heather: Initially tried them with the NM’s but thought the legs looked too full to be tucked. They looked outright weird with my knee high boots. I’m going to try them again though--see if I can save them from the housework capsule. Lawd knows I have plenty in that capsule!

They have been perfect for weekend soccer games and such : ) Yes, it's true, Laura, I won't be winning any housekeeping awards--that's for sure. There are spider webs and HUGE spiders everywhere I look!
