WIW and skinny yay or nay.

(Nothing to do with YLF, but just wanted to share this with you quickly. About a kilometer from us is a conference venue where they have lions and a few other animals. We often hear the lions roar and as I'm typing here I can hear them. Such an amazing sound!)

First photo: Just a MOTG outfit, sort of copying Angie from a while ago. I feel very comfy in this. The pullover is more a coral colour than a pink. Not 100% sure it is the right colour for me...

Second photos: I only have one pair of skinny jeans - the one in the first pictures. I only ever intended wearing it with those boots, but I like it on others with sneakers. I am not sure it suits me though. Does this look work for me - Yay or Nay? Please be brutally honest.

Love them with the boots. You look elegantly rugged in the first photo. I prefer the darker sneaks and would wear the shirt untucked with them, sans belt. I think it's a fun casual look.

Wow! Roaring lions, that is amazing and thank you for sharing. One of the best things about YLF is that it is very much a global community. I for one, love these glimpses into other places and cultures.
Now, to the skinnes, I think they look best with the boots and as you say, that was always their intended role. With the sneakers I think they look best semi tucked and would add further structure by scrunching or rolling the sleeves.

But do you know what? I think they are too big for you as skinnies. I think you could size down at least once, maybe twice.
(Now I'll go and hide because I'm first up and it will be just my luck that the rest of the forum will disagree with me.)

I prefer them with the boots too, And agree with Lantana that maybe need to be tighter to be skinnys. But I think you could rock the skinnies with your slim legs.

Yes, scrunch those sleeves and maybe try slouchy-er or skinnier jeans with the sneakers.
(My background noise is the clothes dryer- Winter here in Australia.)

anyway, i like the jeans with the sneakers a lot. i think both pairs work well. and i agree with lantana, that you could size down to get a true skinny jean, i feel like what you are wearing now is more of a boyfriend jean.
and i think you look great in pink!

You look pretty in pink! The red checks look fab with the pink! A great casual MOTG outfit both with the boots and Chucks.

I think this pink is a good color for you and it plays great with the red checks - great casual outfit.
These fit you like relaxed skinnies and I like them with the shirt semi-tucked. I guess I am in the minority but I prefer them with white Chucks - more casual chic this way.You can also try skinnies a size or two down for regular skinny look - and I would prefer the shirt untucked with those. You have a great body for regular skinnies - and they would be easier to tuck into boots!

I agree that these jeans don't look like true skinnies. It took me forever to buy them and I then sized up because I felt more comfortable in them that way. Sizing down on the skinnies will probably not happen ever. I just feel too exposed in clothes that are tight. Maybe this is one trend that I should just continue to skip - sadly - as I do like it a lot on others now. I must admit it took me a while to get used to the look on others to start with.

I think I need to spend some time to find different jeans styles that work for me. I don't like bootcut and skinnies are potentially out too. I do like boyfriend and wide leg or slightly flared ones, but feel I need another full length style.

(To get back to the lions. I had to go and look at this place's website. They call themselves a Country Hotel and Wildlife Sanctuary.)

I haven't seen a lot of your outfit pics so I'm not sure, are you going for the androgynous vibe of the second outfit? If not, a slimmer jean or a more feminine top may help you wear sneakers with your jeans. Hth.

Your skinnies are as lovely with boots as they are with sneakers. You can also try them wtih a flat shoe such as a ballet flat or a slipper shoe or oxford and that would work well too. That pink color is divine on you. Get more!
