WIW and new specs (ETA: pic of old specs)

I'm repeating an outfit today that I liked, but didn't photograph well from a couple of months ago. I still like it. (Even though it feels just a tad bombshell - why is that? The sparkly necklace?) I think it works better without the red bag....

Also, I lost my specs a few weeks ago on our camping trip. So I ordered replacements online, and they finally arrived. They're not-returnable (but they were cheap!), and I have to admit, I don't like them as well as my old ones that I lost. Perhaps I'll still find them? I tried to follow Angie's suggestions in her eyeglasses post - about finding ones that "lift" your face. I'm not sure I succeeded. Maybe I'm just not used to them yet....

What do you think? Which pair do you prefer (and why?)

#1 The outfit
#2 Blue specs (partial rim)
#3 Brown specs (I thought they were red when I was looking on the site online, but they're brown)

I think the necklace adds *That* much more interest to the look. It actually almost looks like part of the shirt! I like it.

Your new specs are fab! I don't think your outfit is bombshell at all. Love the plum blazer, it's a great color on you!

I really like the new specs - I think the brown matches your eyes and hair and looks very pretty. Nice outfit too. I think bombshell is more body con. Maybe it feels a little dressier that what you're used to due to the necklace?

Thanks you all -- I agree, I think the necklace just dresses up the outfit more than I'm used to.

Glad that the new glasses are okay - I don't HAVE to wear them, except when I'm doing computer work. So they'll probably be worn off and on.

My husband says the blue pair makes me look like a computer geek. Which I am. But I'm not convinced that's a good thing to look like

I don't see bombshell, either. I am curious about what made it feel that way for you. Maybe the necklace because you're not used to it? But what happened when you too the necklace off?

Are the blue ones your old (lost) glasses or are both of these new pairs?

These are both new pair - my old ones were smaller, and almost exactly the color of my hair. Here's a pic of my old ones.

I think the new ones change the shape of my face a bit, and that's what I'm not used to.

And on the outfit, yes, I think the necklace put me in the "more dressed up" feel - which to me felt "bombshell" (which isn't very me). But I liked the outfit, with the necklace, anyway....

I like both new pairs of glasses. The old ones were a good color but the new ones look more grown up and open up your face and eyes more. Good choices.

Well, I actually love the blue ones. And I don't think they make you look like a computer nerd.
