WIW and K/R slip on sneaker

Thanks to all of you who offered your opinion on my Tom's sneaker thread. I decided to try some actual slip ons again and this pair of CKs came home with me. The pros: Very comfortable without socks. (Nubuck upper so soft and breathable.) Sole is flexible and easy to walk in. Lightweight. Reasonably priced ($50.) Think they will clean up easier than fabric.
The cons: The CK label on the side.

I've looked at some other slip ons on-line including the SE Cruz. Many of them have a thicker sole. Not sure if the soles on these are intentionally sneakerish or not. All opinions welcome.

I think they look JFE with the skirt but maybe I'm kidding myself. What do you think?

I love them and think they look great. Can you cut the label if it bugs you?

@carambola and firecracker: I'm not sure whether I can cut the tag off or not. Good idea. I will check and see. I was actually looking for white until Una mentioned how dirty they will get in Hawaii. I think I'm better off with black My capsule is mostly black/white anyway. Oops, and thanks! I love this skirt. It's so comfy. Angie was right--it's like wearing sweatpants!

There you go! Those look great! Wonder if you can snip the tag without making it obvious (or a mess - I snipped a hole right through DS' good golf shorts doing something similar...).

I love my SE sneaks. Per your earlier question they are a light blue crackly colour, and are actually man-made (not leather). So far that hasn't been an issue (I usually avoid synthetic like the plague). I sized down half a size. They have been workhorses.

I think you'll find that these are workhorses as well. I'm thinking of getting some black ones for fall too.

These may be less "today," but I still like Jack Purcell slip-ons. To me they seem less clunky than traditional Cons.

Those are terrific on you! I love that they bookend your hair but also have some lightness in the sole. Brilliant. If you can cut the label, even better, but I would not worry if you can't.

Love the skirt on you, too, and I think it does work with the sneakers.

This slip on sneakers look great on you.I wouldn't touch the sticker because it is easy to damage the shoes when you try to take outer stickers.

Really like the sneakers! They work really well with the skirt too.

Things with labels stuck there when they don't have to be always annoy me too. But that label doesn't seem that bad, especially on such otherwise cute shoes.

I think they look great. That skirt is awesome on you. I'm sure you could carefully take an exacto knife to the label if it really bugs you, but it's not that bad. I have know idea what JFE means LOL.

The shoes are great! Remember that viewers won't see the label very well unless they're lying on the floor!

Well, it's looking like these sneaks are here to stay. After avoiding black footwear for the last several years, it seems like I'm back to collecting it again. Black sneaks, black flat sandal, black perforated oxfords--sheesh. I think I'm done with shoes for awhile! Munro Abbeys may have to wait.

@jackiec: Thanks for the info on the SE sneaks. I love them but am not sure about the synthetic material since I’m hoping to use these in Hawaii. I think they might get too hot. I love the Vince ones at NAS and they are so tempting except they are suede and I don’t want to risk them getting ruined on vacation.

@sarah: lol! Just Flattering Enough. There were some threads on outfits that met that criteria. I love that term because I don’t always go for flattering--BF jeans (diaper butt) comes to mind

@BethAnn: Lol! Thanks. You are the voice of reason. I’m sure no one will look that closely. I’m always telling DDs that no one but them notices those little tiny things--I guess I should listen to my own advice! Ha!

Late to chime in but I think they look great Kelly! I actually like the look of them more than the sandals with the skirt. The label would bug me too, if it's not something that could be cut off I'd be reaalllyyyy tempted to color it in with a sharpie 0:} Just also wanted to point out that the rubber will probably get dirty in Hawaii, so if that's something that will bother you later (having dirty white soles) be sure to give the sneaks a quick wipe down before bed each night.

Thanks, Aida! I appreciate your input especially since you have a good eye for sporty! I think the sharpie is a great idea. The tag looks like it would cut off easily but since it's made of plastic and somewhat thick, some of the white still might show in the seam. Awesome that you prefer the sneaks to the sandals. I didn't love the look with sandals but I'm trying to break those babies in so I'm wearing them as much as I can. Thanks again!
