WIW and K/R black booties

1 and 2 are WIW. What do you think about pairing two different shades of brown (jacket and boots) in #1? Not sure if it works.

#2 - finally was able to tie a scarf in a way that allows me to keep it on all day, even while working in the lab.

#3-5 - trying out these Aldo black booties. K/R - what do you think?

The booties look good on you! I have only two questions: 1. are they comfortable? (I have not had good luck with Aldo shoes personally, so that is a special reason to ask.) 2. Will the buckle/ ties seem like more detailing than you want, or just the right amount?

Re: #1: I think it works. But somehow the top reads as a bit too "light" to me with this combo; I'm not sure why, exactly.

Love your other WIW. You look great in that striped top.

Suz, these seem to be pretty comfortable but I have not worn them around the house for an extended period of time.

As far as detailing, I am generally leaning towards minimalistic but a bit of an UWP vibe (like a buckle) is OK with me. What really made me pause was the fact that these actually have to be laced up (no side zipper). For some reason, I seem to be leaning more and more towards "easy to put on" shoes so lacing them up every morning seems a bit of a chore.

I was also not sure if they look a bit "witchy" on me but they seem to be OK in the photos.

I really like the look of the black booties and especially the outfit in 2-5. The different browns in #1 seem fine together, actually more interesting than matching would be.
I'm not really on Team Minimal so want to add something to #1..maybe the scarf in #2 for pattern mixing? You could wear it around your neck under the shirt or over it.

I don't think they look "witchy" at all. But having to lace them up each time would be very annoying (to me at least!) I like the buckle, though.

I love the booties and actually prefer them to lace rather than zip. If they are comfy I say keep - I don't get a witchy vibe from them at all.

I love your WIW's. The outfit in 1 looks great--I would not hesitate to wear that. The colors are interesting and cohesive. Love the boots in that mix. #2 is perfect too. The K/R booties look pretty fab too. I like how they fit at the ankle. As long as they are comfy, I would keep!

Both WIWs look great! I think the mixed browns in #1 work quite nicely, and the tonal grays for your tights/boots in #2 are particularly eye catching to me. The new booties look fab, if they're comfy I say start wearing those cuties!
