I went to lunch with my mother today at a casual neighborhood eatery. She was a few minutes late in picking me up, and I decided to use the time to play with my outfit. My apologies about the photo quality (or lack thereof!) I still haven't figured out the best way to take selfies.

I started with a navy blue and white dotty Equipment shirt and some oversized skinny jeans, tucked into boots (#1). But I felt like I looked top-heavy, so I switched the blouse out to a collarless (and pocketless) dotty shirt, also navy and white (#2), which made me look less top heavy. I really liked the outfit just like that, but thought I would be cold, so I added a waterfall cardi (#3). For the fun of it, I tried two shorter cardis (#4 &5), but went back to the longer cardi because it felt warmer.

I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions. I'm looking forward to spring and lighter colors, as dark colors are really hard to photograph!
