Hi Fabbers,
This is my firts post on the forum although I’ve been reading YLF for years. This the most amazing fashion blog in my opinion, I have learned so much from it and got so much inspiration.
This is a look from last week (so not a December festive yet) with a new to me Zara sweater which I’v been unbelievably lucky to find on Ebay. I remember seeing this sweater on Zara’s site few years ago and immediately falling in love with it. But I didn’t buy it. Thought that it’s too expensive and not practical enough with its batwing sleeves and oversized shape. Every winter since then my thoughts were coming back to it and I was deeply regretting not getting the sweater since I continued to look for something similar to it. Trends changed and to my horror the oversized asymmetrical batwing sweaters are not all the rage now. This fall I found myself once more wishing that I had the sweater in my cold weather arsenal to keep me both warm and stylish. So I decided to try find it on Ebay and had an amazing luck - found it in my size, from a UK seller (I’m not ordering from US due to custom taxes) and on a reasonable price. I just couldn’t believe my luck so once the sweater arrived I got to wear it immediately.
It is indeed oversized but I like that. For the first wear I paired it with slouchy faux leather trousers and the look is a bit too slouchy but I’m okay with it. The wide belt and hidden wedge ankle boots give sufficient structure for me and this was worn with a coat outside for the whole time - so I didn’t tire of all the volume. Next time I would definitely wear it with skinny bottoms although I’m waiting for a wild card trousers to arrive this week which are not skinny and will try it with them too.
Thanks for looking and all your thoughts are welcome and appreciated.
