This is what I am wearing today. I had to laugh when I thought I have learnt the following "styling hacks" and this outfit incorporates them. Some by accident and some on purpose.
- Sandwich rule (navy top and bottom)
- Something old, something new (new jeans 2025, blazer and bag 2024, tank 2023 and older boots (2018)
- playing with proportion (fitted tank and sleeker boots, with more oversized blazer and wide leg jeans)
- something undone (my hair as always)
- textures (denim, leather, shine of necklace, ribbed tank)
- matchy matchy (all cream, navy and gold hardware)
- colour palette - both navy and cream are in my Bright Spring palette, with some contrast
- three words - bold breezy elegance (I think it meets this)
- persona - Grown Up Charlies Angel - yes the jeans are a bit 1970s and I could see this being worn "on the job".
I have been away for a week - one day for a work meeting, three days hiking and a couple of days with a friend and flights there and back. Photos are of the Humpridge Track - a 60km hike at the very bottom of New Zealand. Day one was an elevation climb of 1100 metres or 3600 feet. Absolutely stunning views, one dolphin in the sea where we swam - and we were lucky with the weather.....
Thanks for looking
