wiw: after a hiatus. warm weather has me sad.

warm weather has made my hair frizzy which makes me forced to tie up my crazy locks and that takes the joy out of dressing/pic taking for me somehow. anyway have a salon blow out scheduled for saturday which should result in a sleeker mane temporarily anyways.

Cute tunic and pendant! Not sure of the color of those leggings - they are so close to skin tone in the photos I wasn't sure what I was seeing at first.

I use almond oil - it's very thin and you only use a tiny amount first rubbed into hands then smoothed downward on hair starting in back - it works really well and is very affordable and mildly scented.

I think you look great! I love this striped blazer on you, and adore how you rock ballet flats. Plus, you always find such interesting and fun jewellery in fab colours.

Have you tried Aveda 'smooth infusion' products? I have super thick, slighly wavy hair that is a nightmare in the humidity and this stuff works like magic! I get mine from Juut salons, but it must be available online....I use the shampoo, daily hair repair (leave-in) conditioner and glossing straightener, as well as a wee bit of their 'elements smoothing fluid' that has to be used very sparingly...I know you're a local lady, so you could pick any of it up at any Juut salon

Biscuitsmom: I will have to try the leave in conditioner. I have the glossing straightener and elements smoothing fluid. I think my hair just needs even more so I will buy the shampoo and conditioner too!

texstyle: I will have to try almond oil. I do have moroccan oil and use that sometimes. But have not tried almond oil yet. off to amazon to buy some!

Inge: thank you for your therapeutic comments. I did feel the outfit looked pretty good in real life.and the leggings are very tan brown not olive like my skin in reality. Those ballet flats have become a warm weather encessity. My ussy right foo swells up in the summer and heels just don't work else I'm limping by the end of an 8 hour day!

Sona, I love that striped jacket but think I would like to see it over a pair of jeans (blue or colour) with a cute white top.

I bought a spritz in product from the hairdresser last time I went. For me it is the damp rainy days that make all these shorter hairs just frizz up like a halo around my hair. The product is Uniq one and it really does a great job of taming the frizz and makes my hair super soft and shiny.

I love that jacket on you. LIke Dianthus, I am not sure it works with this particular top. But I like the idea of pairing it with the tan (which looks almost mustardy in the pics!)

You look cute. Frizz happens. Ponytails are my summer staple. I cannot recommend Bumble & Bumble products more highly. I have great luck with blowdries using the Prep spray and just got a shipment of their new straight products. I used to love Pureology straight shampoo and conditioner, but haven't been able to find it for a long time. Truly gets rid of the frizz (but you have to put in the effort to blow dry completely straight and dry first)

Sona you look great. Im also not sure about the color of the leggings but I do like the pairing of the jacket with the tunic / dress. Its unexpected, fun and creative. I can see one of the many fashion bloggers wearing this ensemble with bare legs and some sort of massively heeled booties.

very summer cool.

if you don't mind doing your own hair. try this on damp-to-touch hair. once you get the hang of it, it is the next best thing to a salon blowout. on the pro web sites, many stylists have mentioned this product, including some concerns about decreasing business. check target and amazon for cheaper prices.

Your hair looks good up or wn I like the unic & jacket but Iike a couple of the others I think it would look better with skinnies or a different colour leggings.

Sona, I sympathize about the hair! We're entering a period of warm and humid weather here, and even though I'm happy I just got my hair cut and colored yesterday, I know it will be unruly in the summer swamp we have here in the mid-Atlantic. I tend to blow dry it less and let it do it's own wavy, unruly thing in the summer, or pull it back in a ponytail.

I have found Moroccan Oil to be helpful, and also the spray leave-on conditioner called It's a 10. Good for detangling and adding just a smidge of control. I'll blow dry the bangs and very front of my hair and then just run a comb through it and let the rest air dry. It then goes wavy but tends to frizz less. Unfortunately, the more I mess with it, the more it frizzes.
