A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this T-neck jersey dress in grey and black at the Salvation Army thrift shop. It is originally from Zara, and I really liked the fit and fabric, so I made an exception from my not-so-hard rule of not buying fast fashion second hand.

#1 is how I wore it today at home (ok, the pumps are mostly on for the photos:) I also wore it like this on a christmas family gathering. I'm showing you a detail of the stripes and my only accessory, the watch.

#2 proves that my red coat is getting some air again as I took it out for shopping today. It has either been too wet or too warm for coats here lately, a very rare kind of weather in Dec/Jan. Next week will be considerably colder, so then only the puffers and parkas will do. I tried to avoid an obvious pairing with black, so I chose the cognac boots instead. They are also more wearable when I have to walk a lot. I have cognac gloves to match them. I also tried a version with my grey tweed blazer and brown booties. I like this blazer so much, but rarely wear it. Maybe more now?

I don't have any other long sleeved dress but the BR black wrap dress, and that one is a lot thinner, so this dress is filling a small wardrobe hole. I think it has workhorse potential, but it depends. The flared skirt makes jackets and other layering a bit trickier, I think. What do you think of it? Please share any ideas or suggestions you might have. Thanks for looking!
