WIW a nod to fall

Dear Fabbers,

Today’s (Sunday) outfit was a little nod to fall. It consists of mainly older items, but the combination is new to me.
I was wearing a denim coat (a charity shop find from last spring) with a flower brooch, a pair of straight leg white jeans, white shirt with ruffles and a classic silk scarf. My nod to fall was a pair of dark brown suede boots and a dark brown leather satchel (also a charity shop find). Gold hoops and, as always, large sunnies.

I think this is a great look- mixing white jeans with blue denim looks fresh. The nod to fall with accessories makes it the perfect transitional outfit for changing seasons. Well done.
Btw- I really love the lighter lips as a change of pace..... just sayin’

So polished. All of the details are perfect, and elevate this to impeccable as usual! This is a great example of remixing - interesting to hear you had not combined these before. I think that is one of the great attributes of YLF for me - it has caused me to wear some old pieces in new ways, based on seeing others' combos, or suggestions I get on outfits.

You look great, and very seasonally appropriate. You also look very “you”. You have a signature look that I don’t quite understand. The brooch is part of it (and this one is a good color for a nod to fall) but there is something else that makes your outfits distinctive. It’s very cool.

Wow, this looks so wonderful on you. I must be happy to be seasonally confused with my colours, because I would love to wear this right now in spring! The denim duster and scarf are beautiful together and I love your flower brooch. I would never think of wearing a scarf with a ruffled blouse, yet how you are wearing them together is perfection.

Thank you Efbgen for the kind compliments. I bought this lipstick a couple of months ago and it is becoming a favorite, very easy to wear.

Karen13, thank you. What a great feedback. I agree, YLF is fantastic, I also feel I have improved my dressing and found so many new combinations thanks to advice, suggestions and all the inspiration. The white jeans with chocolate boots is just an example, very grateful.

Cardiff Girl, thank you. I am lucky I have a favourite charity shop and I love hunting for fun items. I have found some really nice pieces, like this coat and a few bags and brooches. It is also a good place to donate things I don´t use any more.

I am also seasonally confused Used this coat with brown shoes and brown scarf last spring too .-) The new here is the column of white with the boots and the bag. The ruffled shirt is a bit of an orphan, now getting a new life. I hesitated with the scarf with the shirt, but then I thought - why not, and added the flower brooch too. I am really glad you like that combo.

Especially love the color palette, a cool fallish one- white, blue and brown is so rare! And then the silhouette is also a fave! The jabot shirt (&scarf) is so dramatic, and TDF!

Very clever use of colors. Light orange from the scarf, burgundy brooch and brown from boots and bag. On a background of white and blue it gives a hint of autumn coming.
