You are so generous with your comments. I am blushing a bit, which I guess can be nature’s cheek color.
Brooklyn, Aliceinwonderland, Joy and Kelly Girl. Thank you! I am really happy to hear that you think the neckline works. I don’t dislike it, but my eye needs time to adjust. The fabric and feel of the top is glorious, so I will likely order a cream top. I was trying to decide if I should order with this neckline, or a more simple scoop neck.
Thank you so much Taylor, Shevia, Joy and Kellygirl. I am kind of surprised about my makeup. My skin is a work in progress, my skin tone uneven and it does look better with a thin veil of foundation. My skin seems to stay healthier when I use fewer products and I like to let my skin breathe, sooo...... Taylor, I don’t get dark circles too often, but I do get bags under my eyes. A nice skin firming eye cream helps combat those.
Lisa P, I had you at my faux Hermès belt. When I went to visit DTwin she was wearing one and I was surprised she would spend $$$ on a belt. She told me she ordered it from Amazon and that it was offered in many colors. The belt is a very good fake. Yes, speed dialing Amazon and my belt was waiting for me when I returned from my trip.
Runcarla, thank you for the caramel and cream compliment. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites to wear.
Ms. Maven, the necklace was a surprise from DH. The stones are all tourmaline, which is a Maine gemstone, although most of the stones in the necklace are from Brazil. The stones are square and bezel set. It really is a beautiful piece and I don’t wear it often enough. One of my goals is to wear my fancier pieces more often. This necklace is one such piece.
When DH gave me the gift I was hunched over the kitchen table, wearing a bathrobe and working on report cards. He came up behind me, gave me a hug and placed the Jewelry box in front of me. It was a total surprise and I was at my least glamorous. Let me tell you that after putting on the necklace, my bathrobe and I were really quite spectacular! Hahaha!
