WIW: A little patriotic, and another outfit

First outfit was for church today. I wanted a subtle patriotic outfit. And I wanted to wear clogs. The top is by Vince Camuto, pants from Macy’s, Dansko clogs, thrifted bag.

Second outfit was to visit my mother in the SF Bay Area last week. I needed something for our searing heat, and like to be a step up from shorts for her retirement home. The top and skort are from Macy’s, sandals by Johnston and Murphy, and earrings from a Canadian maker via Etsy. I wore three other outfits, but didn’t get any pictures.

Bijou, thank you. I didn’t notice until just now that white figured in both outfits!

Kelly, thank you. We had a great time visiting my mother. I hadn’t seen her in 1 1/2 years. Of course, I’ve phoned her and emailed. Here’s a picture of my husband by the bay. You can see the fog coming in. It was freezing! I grew up with fog and love it - Mother Nature’s air conditioning!

Rachy, thank you. I was going to wear another darker blue top, but it felt too low cut for comfort. I’m going to have to fix it.

I’m thrilled you were able to see your mom! This long period without the ability to see family has been so hard, hasn’t it?

Ryce, yes, it was difficult not seeing my mother. She’s 96 and starting to slow down. She’s in robust health, but seriously - how many people live this long, right? The bag is darling, but a little on the small side, if that makes you feel better.

Shevia, thank you. Clog sandals (or maybe sandal clogs?) are so comfortable and fun, that I’m surprised everyone doesn’t wear them!
