Our mild winter has turned into a cool and rainy spring so no sleeve baring just yet. Here are a few recent weekend looks
1. For watching soccer in a rainy field - Democracy jeans, LL Bean Signature top, MK raincoat, RL belt, Hunter boots
2/3. Out for Mother's Day brunch in flare crops (Kensie), J Crew top, RL belt, DV flats worn for errands, added Boden white denim jacket and swapped into Splendid ankle sandals. I ignored the feeling that I was wearing high waters and just went with it. I'm sure some folks did not get it and DH did not comment at all.
4. A little shopping between gardening on Mother's Day - my faux jumpsuit. Both pieces Gap, shoes Andrew Gellar ($14 and sooo comfy) plus a little bling
5. A rare warm day - blinging up my khakis with J crew top, Circus gladiators (I have cognac and gold in these) and new summer bag - Tignanello

You create the best polished casual looks. Talk about looking stylish watching soccer...fab. Love the faux jumpsuit too! Wow. You look great in creams and metallic too. The last outfit is competing for top fave on my list with the blue faux jumpsuit. YLF!

I agree with Diane. Your casual outfits are a lesson in style.
1 is reaching perfection in its balance between sporty and pulled together. The stripe have center stage and give it an air of happiness.
4 is my favorite: classy, elegant, yet so comfortable! Jewelry is brilliant.

Does your husband usually comment on your fits?

I sometimes wonder about fashion forward choices like the cropped flair denim. It's challenging to get past. My own idea of what is proper but then I just go for it.

Ok - that faux jumpsuit is the bomb! I would never have guessed it was two pieces!! Your casual looks are all great - and you wear an anorak and Hunter boots with panache. I think you'd feel less like you were wearing high-waters if you had a heel on with the jeans instead of flats - but I realize that's not always a practical solution .But these are fine on you - just takes getting used to , I think?

The olive anorak was a great deal at the Rack and I've been reaching for it more in our wacky weather (Tanya we have at least another week of this madness). I have a rainboot collection (4 Hunters of varying colors and styles) so it's nice to get to wear them purposefully (and they got muddy out there)
DH will comment infrequently except for compliments.
I bought and returned a number of jumpsuits last year and finally figured this out. It ticks all my requirements for sleeves, non black, drapey, no wedgie and of course no having to undress fully for bathroom. I'm pleased that it was so well-received. I plan to wear it a lot this summer (as well as the pieces separately)
Lisa I think you're right about the shoes and about getting used to it. I've only invested $30 in these jeans so I don't feel too badly if I decide it's just too forward for my town.
