WIW: A dress a week challenge

This is my choice of dress this week. When I was at it, I decided to play a bit dress up and dress down as well, because this is one of my favorite dresses, and I've had it for four years, but never worn it very much. That must come to an end now!

I bought it for my birthday party and wore it with black patent pumps then (and of course on several other occasions). This time I picked silver sandals and clutch in alt #1since it is Summer just to give you an idea of how I normally style it. If I should wear it to work, I could pair it with this orange cardigan and warm grey pumps as in #2. It is probably still a bit overdressed because I'm a teacher, and our dress code is very casual. Today I'm going shopping downtown with my 13 year old daughter, so I used Angie's formula for dressing down the dress with denim in #3. This is what I will wear today. I will also be carrying the straw basket/bag (what is the English word for this?) and wearing my old and beloved Ecco Bullion sandals. I bought a pendant in France this Summer that picks up the blue and light colors in the shoes and denim.

Please excuse the lack of makeup and my messy hair - this will have to do just to give you an idea of how I'm thinking. What do you think of my alternatives? Any styling alternatives are greatly welcome!

What a treat to show us three versions of this perfect LBD! Really you have nailed all three looks. My only suggestion is for the first, going-out/dressy version, to pull your hair into an elegant twist and maybe add some earrings or a pearl necklace. Otherwise I love your hair down in your casual and teaching outfits. I wish I had hair like that!!!!!

Great dress! I love all the ways you've styled it. Maybe add a choker or necklace for the first outfit? Is there a belt with the dress? It's a little hard to tell, but you could add or change out for a fun belt.

All three looks are wonderful! And high five for bringing a favorite out to play more often - the dress challenge has worked its magic already.

I love seeing the LBD reworked! I seem to have a bit of a time myself with the idea that accessories can change up the look of a simple dress. Will have to work on that!
#2 is my fave.

Thank you, everybody:) I would never go to a party with that hair and no makeup, I would make an updo or control the frizz. And I have a pair of earrings that go very well with the dress, but I prefer the neckline with no jewelry or scarves when I have pearls on my wrist. On a more casual note, I think a scarf is a very good option.
