Have been quite busy this past week and am in the process of adjusting my morning schedule so I've had less time for WIW posts daily. So figured I'd combine a couple from this past week. Both are uber casual and high on the comfort scale to account for my lack of time.

Outfit #1 was thrown together quickly on a "puffy" day that was just warm enough I could get away with that much bare leg. Big, boxy, oversized sweatshirt with beetles and nuts/bolts pattern is the epitome of schlubby comfort, imho. To counteract the boxy/oversized fit I paired it with ultra slim striped clam diggers. The sweatshirt is by Markus Lupfer (love his fun graphic and patterned sweatshirts. It's the same designer who made my beaded lips sweatshirt) and it's actually a man's sweatshirt. I just rolled and pushed up the sleeves to make it work as an oversize fit on me.

Outfit #2 was yesterday's outfit. Sometimes folks on my team at work let themselves get stressed out by their work and I have to remind them that having a really strong work ethic is fantastic, but keep things in perspective --we help make games. At the end of the day nobody died because of something we did or did not do well. So try not to worry (my sister is an ER nurse and she often says she doesn't know how I do what I do and how stressful my type of work can be --I laugh at her and use the exact same phrase with her. Because if she has a bad day, damn, someone could actually die. So I don't know how she can do what she does without going crazy from stress, but I admire the hell out of her for doing it).

Anyway, the "Don't worry, everything will be amazing" cropped t-shirt really embodies this (and how I try to view life in general). Since it's cropped, and it was cooler out yesterday, I put it over a deep green long sleeve tee and once again kept things basic with jeans and a hat --and my beetle sneaks. Added my Margot do Taxco vintage sterling and enamel snake bracelet and earrings and was ready for an amazing day!

Outfit #1:

Beetle, nut and bolts oversized sweatshirt: Markus Lupfer (via ebay)
Gray/black striped clam digger pants: Necessary objects (bought many years ago at TJ Maxx)
High shine black leather loafers: Prada (NIB via ebay)
Neoprene "squiggles" bag: coolest bag ever! Got it at the Santa Monica museum of art gift shop last year. The woman who runs the shop brought back from Italy a few different types of bags made from neoprene to sell. I love that it's so unique!
Cabbie hat: Goorin Bros. Burbank (via Zappos)
Earrings: vintage sterling (via flea market I think, had them forever so can't remember really) I liked that they mirrored the shape of the nuts on the sweatshirt
Ring: 1950's vintage sterling and green tourmaline by mid-century designer Ella Cone

Outfit #2:

Deep green, blue and white newsboy hat: No brand (bought it at a Thai import store in Seattle when I lived there)
Dark green long sleeve t-shirt: Splendid (via Zappos)
"Everything will be amazing" cropped tee: Aeropostale
Dark rinse cigarette leg jeans: J Brand (via ebay)
Beetle print slip-on skater sneakers: Tory Burch (NIB via ebay)
Sterling and enamel snake bracelet and earrings: Vintage 1950's by Mexican silversmith Margot de Taxco (via estate buyout years ago and then given to my mother over a decade ago who gifted the set back to me a few months ago)
