WIW a change of season but not temps

It’s still HOT where I live but the days are getting shorter and the mornings and evenings cooler. I love summer dressing, but have started making a seasonal shift into wearing my boots (yay!) and dresses with a bit more coverage and/or deeper colours.

Dress 1 - a favourite silk dress by Thurley. Very sad to see this designer has now closed up shop, a casualty of the current economic downturn.

Jumpsuit- alas not a boiler suit but almost as much fun, an old favourite. I feel vey 1970’s wafting around in this.

Dress 2 - this dress has such a beautiful brocade the light colour is silvery, it never photographs well, so you just have to trust me, it looks better in real life.

I have been trying to wear and enjoy the items I currently own and slowly update my wardrobe focusing on what is practical. However I am wearing my nicer pieces even just working from home because I feel better in myself than simply wearing my jeans and a T-shirt and even on a Zoom call, visuals can be important to how professional my clients perceive me.

You look wonderful in all your fab pieces! Love the accessories in the jumpsuit outfit ( great belt and necklace/bracelet ).
The print in the last dress is something special - my fav mix of floral with black&white geometric pattern - fab with black boots and camisole!

Slimcat - yes the geometric floral print is lovely, that is what attracted me to the dress, even though it is not a style I would normally wear.

Rachy - Yes - the Thurley dress is a favourite. I am so sad that the designer's business was bankrupted by the Covid recession.

Minaminu - yes it would be fun to join up on a YLF shopping trip.

All 3 are fabulous! And I agree dressing for working at home is really important. I have been on Zoom meetings with people who look like they have just rolled out of bed lol. That doesn't work for me .

Fashintern - I need to remind myself at how lucky I am that it is warm and sunny because in reality I don't like the cold and dark days of winter. It is just this 5 months of summer does go on for a long time...today it is 38C.

ChristelJ - I do try to be upbeat, and dressing helps me feel that way too which is probably why I enjoy wearing bright colours.

JAileen - it is so great to see your photos and outfits when you are out and about in nature. Practical dressing is important. For me, what I am wearing is for when I am at home working from my desk or popping out to catch up with people. We are still very lucky to be Covid free.

Lisa - I really like the first dress too and was so sad to see that the young designer who made this dress has now closed down her business. I really like to support 'designed and made in Australia' - but it can be difficult to find those brands that are not prohibitively expensive.

Angie - I do love to bookend with those white boots! I am very glad to be on team wear with dress #1, it is just so comfortable and easy to wear.

Irina - I really should wear the jumpsuit more because it is so comfortable, much like wearing very nice pyjamas.

Deb - Zoom calls are such a mixed bag and I have on occasion almost laughed at what some people on the calls are wearing. I am sure you always look immaculate.

Love these- though it sounds way too hot for boots to me!

Wow, really amazing all- especially for WFH outfits- you really pay attention and effort to look pretty and elegant (and you get more mileage out of your nice stuff, too) big pitty your clients cannot see your edgy boots, too!
