WIW: A Bit of Sparkle & Summer Hair

I’ve been following on other fabers footsteps and rocking my sparkly items.

Lumberjack/tomboy sparkle: Sparkly belt and AE plaid shirt with barely noticeable-on-the-photo silver threads. F21 vintage-y wash skinnies. Miz Mooz Hanna gray moto boots. Worn to do some quick Christmas shopping with DH.

Silver and black: LOFT Sequin tank, WHBM fine wale corduroy mini, Miz Mooz Hanna gray moto boots, Baby Phat leather bomber with fake fur lining and mega-hood (a few years old). I love hoods on outerwear. Seeing the photos I think I should wear the tank top untucked. My skirt kept sliding down a bit during the evening and made my proportions quite different looking, shall I say, stumpy?

And, on topic with Angie’s post about color hair... this is the purple I sported for eight months this year. Lots of upkeep at the $alon! I’m giving my hair and wallet a rest and will revisit the color next year – I enjoyed it So. Much. It was very subtle indoors and quite shiny and bright outdoors, people got a kick out of it. Last photo: I really like the blue tips sported by the heroine of Pacific Rim, fierce!

I was already in love with your outfits, your hair, your boots, but then you posted the Mako Mori image and oh my god, you're a kindred soul! (I could write pages and pages about Mako Mori and Pacific Rim and how much I love them.)

Sam, so glad you also loved Mako Mori in the movie – a great character and killer outfits for sure.

Suz, thanks for the compliments – I miss my purple... I enjoyed it most at the gym – kind of inspired me to push my routines a bit further – go figure – It made me feel like a strong animé character.

Debra, wouldn't it be fun to try some color yourself? It doesn't last that long if you change your mind. I started with a little bit to test it and went back a few days later to add more to it.

Diane G, glad you like the purple highlights. The "pussycat" logo on the back is from BabyPhat, I feel it's a bit junior-ish on me now, but I just can't give up on such nice, soft leather and plush lining. And it was a gift from DH
