WIW 9/5: Leopard and red for not going to jury duty

I was on call for jury duty today, but mercifully I wasn't needed! I am celebrating by wearing one of my favorite combinations -- leopard and red!

Tan pencil skirt: Halogen
Leopard shirt: J Crew via consignment
Red blazer: H&M
Brown pumps: Jessica Simpson
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto

House update: Had a great meeting with the design team last night and got the finishes for the master bath nailed down. Here's a peek at the wall tile. The floor tile will be white hex. Big fun!!

Thanks for looking and for your honest comments! I hope I'm not boring everybody to tears with all the repeats!

Hmmm… I think I can replicate this gorgeous outfit, but I lack the beautiful bag… and Idon't ave a red blazer, only a coat…hmm.

- I love the tile choices and am a tiny bit envious that you get to decorate your new bathroom from scratch. We are about to inherit someone else's bathroom taste in our new apartment which is not bad, but not great, either.

Glad you were not needed on jury duty...I so relate...Although, I tell myself that were I in a situation that required a jury trial, I would want someone like me there to fairly evaluate the charge, still, being so very human, I am always glad to be excused...Your celebratory clothes are wonderful and reflect a happy mood to fist bump and scream, "YES!"...smile...

As a lawyer, wouldn't it be pretty easy for you to get out of jury duty if you were called?

Ha! I was also called for jury duty for the next 2 weeks but just received an email that I am not needed at all!

Second, where did you get your purse? It is amaing.
Three, the only time I was ever called for jury duty was when I was a student, many thousands of miles away from my home. (I was excused.) It is a pity because I actually think I would enjoy it.

Denise, I have never been actually selected for a jury. I was in the box once and got to answer the voir dire questions, but the prosecutor excused me. Probably because I seemed to be the only person on the panel who understood the presumption of innocence and said if I had to vote right now, I'd have to vote "not guilty." (Everybody else said they wouldn't be able to vote before hearing the evidence.)

Beth Ann, I feel the same way about the little round tiles! And my bathroom will have a lot of jewelry because the vanity will have shiny sparkly crystal knobs on the drawers!

Just a great outfit. I really admire how current you look and appropriate all the time. You always look fresh without trying to look as if you are a teenybopper....the Dodgers outfit is such a good example of that too.

Mary, you always look great and your repeats are fine! Love seeing your house progress, as well. And for those who like your bag, look at Oryany bags. Same color blocking idea. On qvc but nordstrom, other places as well.
