WIW 9/28: Leopard and blue, inspired by Already Pretty

I was inspired by Sally's denim-and-leopard outfit over at Already Pretty this morning! I don't wear denim to work, but I do have a teal button-front shirt that has been kind of a wardrobe orphan. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. What do you all think?

Teal shirt: Foxcroft
Leopart knit pencil skirt: Nic + Zoe
Black cotton blazer: Halogen
Nude patent pumps: Target
Silver metallic tote: MIchael Kors (birthday gift!)
Tan belt: YLF swap

I usually feel like this shirt is wearing me, but maybe I found a way to tame it with the wide-ish belt. Your thoughts?

Love this combination on you - the strong colour of the shirt is fabulous with the animal print skirt. I'll be honest MaryK and say I like the shirt much better with the jacket over top. On it's own with the belt, the proportions seem slightly off to me over the skirt. But with the jacket, it's fabulous!

I like it! I do like Sal's spot of color - would you be amenable to wearing red shoes or a red belt? I also like it with the jacket.

No doubt that this blouse is not exactly fitted but I think it looks esp. good with the jacket because it really tames it that way. And you have pattern mixing with your great new bag!

nice way to tame both the leopard and the top....but I am gonna say no to the wide belt. I would prefer a skinny on you, since you are all lovely and a bit on the tiny side. I felt it overwhelmed a bit.

Great interpretation! I like the shirt belted, and I prefer it with the jacket on.
I think maybe the issue with feeling like the shirt is "wearing you" is the sleeves more than the body of the shirt.
I bought that shirt and ended up taking it back, but if I'd kept it I was going to narrow the sleeves a little.

Your magic closet really does contain just about anything you could ever want, doesn't it? You whip out just the perfect items to recreate a look every time- amazing!

Wow, those are like the most perfect nude for a nude shoe I have ever seen. It's like barbie feet that bookends with your hair. Great outfit--the shirt and belt totally works.

Great version of Sally's inspiration. I also think you could bring in the red in a belt or shoes? But the blue and leopard looks fab together.
