Here is my first entry for Katerina's Color challenge - a monochromatic purple outfit, with 6 (!) purple pieces: cashmere tee, slip skirt, leather moto, booties, satchel and watch. I wore the outfit without the jacket earlier today for my consignment store appointment as it was warm, and will be adding the jacket in the evening when I go to run some additional errands.

Purple is my favorite color, and I have a lot of it in almost all the shades. My favorite shade is dark eggplant, which is harder to find, and I am always on the lookout for, as it can function as a pseudo-neutral for me. All the items here except the top are part of my eggplant capsule. The moto was a HEWI I found earlier this year and booties were an end-of-winter clearance item, the unusual heel makes them fun. I don't have a weather appropriate eggplant top, and would like to find a simple eggplant crewneck or turtleneck sweater to wear with the same outfit when it gets older. I didn't photograph it, but I do have an eggplant coat to throw over everything later, too (in the Finds).

For your amusement (photo #5), some of the items in my bag are purple as well: eggplant wallet and orchid Kindle cover. The wallet was a present from a dear friend and it is still going strong after 10+ years. The Kindle cover needs replacing and I will be looking for darker purple this time around.
