WIW 9/22: Shopping my closet

It's finally cooled off a tiny bit so I am shopping my closet for some slightly-less-summery items. These are all old favorites and you've probably seem this outfit a few times, but here it is again...

Navy pants: Banana Republic
Silk blouse: Talbots
Tweedy jacket: Banana Republic
Pumps: Seychelles
Blue satchel: B Makowsky
Black belt: Target

I am happy to see that tie-front blouses seem to be making a comeback. This one is several years old but I still love it! As always, I appreciate your feedback.

Really cute outfit Mary! I like the way the straps on the shoes seem to repeat the pattern in the blouse.

I've continued to be a fan of and wear pussycat bow blouses, so right there with you! They are an ongoing staple for me so I stocked up this year.

I adore your blouse and shoes especially. Very "Mary" pieces!

Ok, I'm going to say what I see, and feel free to slap me - I feel this makes you look a bit shorter and rounder on top than you are. I think it's the combo of the tucked in blousy top and the cut of the jacket. Maybe it's just the photo as I know you are not round!

Don't cringe and duck, Una! I asked for honesty and I appreciate it! LOL Honestly, I've gotten a little rounder lately -- too much fun with Gentleman Friend and not enough gym time! Maybe a longer untucked top would be better with this jacket...

Love every piece, Mary! The blouse is perfectly you, and being back on trend is a bonus. I think I'd like it best with a notched collar blazer, not predominately as a flattery issue, but mostly as a proportion issue.

The heels are marvelous, too!

Those shoes, that blouse, and those pants are meant to be together, and so are the shoes, pants, and jacket. The only thing I'm not sure about is the jacket with the blouse (sorry!), but still a great outfit overall. I love "shopping my closet" posts as that's what I'm doing a lot of right now, and I love seeing how others remix their outfits.
